what not to wear ~ [modern kids photography]
I recently channeled my inner Stacy and Clinton and put together a little collage of clothing “DON’Ts” for your child’s photoshoot.
So… you have a spring session coming up and don’t have a clue what the kids SHOULD wear? Well, lucky for you, I’ve also put together a collection of clothing “DO’s”. These items can be found at places like mini-boden, gap kids, crewcuts, old navy, and etsy.com.
And this dress… ahhhhh this lovely sunny perfectly yellow dress! I have fallen head-over-heals in love with this dress.
How much do I love this dress? How much am I dying to photograph a little girl on a glowy summer evening wearing this very dress? I love it so much that I am going to offer a FREE children’s session to the first person that gives me proof that they have purchased this dress (and have a child to go along with it) and wish to have said child photographed in said dress. Yep. I LOVE that dress.

I LOVE the yellow dress! What’s funny is that I had that dress in my cart about a week ago and was seriously contemplating buying it! Since my photo shoot with you is at the end of the month I figured it maybe wasn’t seasonally appropriate!

Hi everyone! Oh Kris… I could do a whole post about the adorable clothes at Pout… I SO should have included some in my collage!!! Duh! Everything at Pout is a “DO”! And Sara, these photos are real outfits for sale at Target and Kohl’s. Seriously. And yes, I have a winner. Can’t wait!

This is a GREAT idea! Sometimes I wish I could show my clients something like this..I still feel a little shy about suggesting outfits when I get to a session and they’re wearing something… bad. LOL. There are SO many cute clothes out there, I don’t get why people don’t take advantage of them!

I just bought that exact knot dress today for my little girl! Love it! and bought my 3 boys the matching t-shirts with the little ties

LOL! this is such a perfect post! It’s so hard to explain clothing styles, much easier to understand with visuals. Can’t wait to see some photos with that yellow dress!
