If I could describe this family in one word… I think it would be “happy”. They had brought Ella in for pictures a couple of summers ago during a very difficult time in their family. They had just lost their six-day-old little boy who had been born prematurely. Things were not very “happy” during that time, but of course Ella remained the light in their life. They moved out of state after that summer, and were very soon surprised with some great news… another little bundle was on her way! Quite awhile ago they contacted us about scheduling a session during their trip home this summer and were so excited to introduce me to baby Avery. And let me tell you…. she is just about the sweetest little thing I’ve ever laid eyes on.

How can you NOT be happy looking at that little cherub face? I think it has a permanent smile…

And big sister Ella is still as beautiful as ever.

Yep, “happy” pretty much sums it up.
