I always feel like I identify with families who jump from one child to three with the birth of twins! There is nothing quite like the fog of being a mama to newborn twins, and you throw in raising a toddler along with it and days can get LOOONNNG! But these two were just the sweetest. They were born at just two and three pounds and were over a month old at their session but slept just like champs! I just love seeing them curled up together feeling all safe and happy next to their lifelong best friend.

Our bedroom has not been touched since we painted it when we moved in 9 years ago so it was time for a little freshening up. Lately I’ve been finding myself drawn to a much more minimalist aesthetic … trending toward vintage, modern, industrial and mid-century. For the last couple of years we have wanted to do a white-painted brick wall in our room, but finances (and overall handy-ness!) just didn’t allow it at this time so for now I had to settle with this brick wall paper from Milton + King. Almost as good as the real thing… until we can get it! The gorgeous bed was built for us by a friend and talented furniture builder from my home town. It goes perfectly with the mid-century side table from West Elm I’ve had for a couple years just waiting to come out of the box. The other side table was made by my sweet boy Coop in his shop class at Moorhead High. How cool is that? My favorite thing in the room is the wall fixture I found at Peared Creation. I think it really just pulls the look together. What do you think?
Hope says: Way to go! Awesome as always! 2016-05-18 06:08:08
